Winter break, oh how I love you. I just took my last final and now I am free until after New Years. I like studying as much as the next person, but I am definitely ready for a break!

I must admit, it's been an enjoyable summer so far. It's nice to have a little time to relax. My classes were really demanding this year and I'm definitely enjoying the break.

Exams are only a couple of weeks away and I am a mixture of excited and anxious. I keep telling myself I'm prepared, but I know I haven't been as conscientious about my studies as I should be. For one, it's been so warm and sunny outside. For two, I've been distracted with a boy a social life. You'd think Nys and I switched bodies. Or, well, personalities.
At least the year is almost over, though. I just have to force myself to buckle down for the next few weeks and then I'll have an entire summer of freedom.

So, I've been seeing this guy. Sort of. I don't want to get all flaily and girly here, but I think I really kind of like this guy. We've gone for coffee, we've gone to dinner. It's been nice.

This is going to sound strange coming from me, but I am really ready for this semester to be over with. Next year will be full of grad school applications and other such things and I am definitely eager to have a break in the meantime. Mother wants me to come home to New York for the summer. I'm tempted to take a vacation someplace a little more tropical first, though. Doesn't a week or two on a beach sound amazing?

Have you ever noticed that the label to a certain brand of condoms states they are "Individually tested for maximum protection?"
I'm sure they are referring to some very dull and scientific laboratory tests, but that statement raises a rather amusing and slightly disturbing mental image.
Then again, it's possible that I have just been up studying for my exams for far too long and I just need to get some rest before I go completely insane.
